 Jonathan

Jonathan shoots in a documentary style and tends to gravitate towards relaxed and informal shots. He loves adventurous couples and quirky weddings and says that "emotion is what gets me working to my best."

“ I have two beautiful children, Fearne and Eadie, who are my absolute world. I'll become a photographic journey as a student at my local six form college where I studied photography at GCSE level and progressed all the way through to degree where I passed with a 2:1. This meant that I had the joy of learning analogue photography before digital photography was a thing. I learnt darkroom techniques which enabled me to transfer this information into digital as the digital age began. I first started weddings not long after I said I would never photograph a wedding, but then I realised how relaxed and informal weddings had become since the 90s and that I could really enjoy capturing the personalities the humour and the people who were there. This led me down a very long path to become the wedding photographer that I am today and I absolutely love it. I am associated with many professional organisations; I have won several awards for my work but I would simply not know what to do if I wasn't photographing weddings. My style is somewhat documentary, photographing the moments as they happen when they happen with no direction or prompts from me, I simply blend in as one of the guests and photograph from the guests perspective. I strongly believe that you are there to spend the day with your friends and family rather than a full day photo shoot and not enjoy the wedding.” - Jonathan

Jonathan’s work has been featured in several publications such as Save The Date Magazine, East Midlands Wedding Magazine & Fujilove.
